I just love Florida!!!

Mrs Turtle

Mrs Turtle loves to just hang out and cruise the pond.  I see her regularly, she loves bread!  Go figure ha ha oh yes and pasta to.  Maybe she is Italian???

Florida softshell turtles are almost entirely aquatic, generally only emerging from the water to bask or to lay their eggs.[4] They prefer still waters and can be found in ponds, streams, rivers, lakes and swamps. These turtles are usually shy around humans, but when they feel threatened they will bite with their strong jaws.[2] Like all soft-shells they are very fast in water and on land.[4] In captivity they have been known to live up to 30 years old, although in the wild their lifespans are shorter.

The above was copied from wikepedia I can tell you this Mrs Turtle is NOT SHY!!!!  LOL

Creatures in my pond

Alligator Gar Fish are fresh water fish and they lerk in my pond!
He was getting to close ha ha I thought it was a gator till I saw the dang tail these are whats called Gar Fish!

See his orange eyes he scared the bejesus out of me lol

You can see how big it is next to all my little fishes ....

The Alligator Gar fish, also called the Gator Gar or referred to as the Garfish, gets its name from its two rows of teeth on its top jaw and its long snout filled with teeth, which are very similar to regular alligators. The Alligator Gar is the largest species of all other garfish and it is also known to be the largest freshwater fish in all of North America, with the Alligator Gar world record set at 279 pounds!

How to catch a fish in under 50 seconds!

This story is true.  Every single word lol my beautiful neice ( she is very beautiful)  came to visit (she is from Jersey and only time she ever fished was on my boat in Lake Hopatcong never really caught anything) and we decided to go out back in my wonderful wildlife heaven.  She (ok I) put a small piece of hot dog (yep thats what florida fish love) on the line and she casted (her first real cast) low and behold not more then 37 seconds she has a catfish on her hook.  She continuing doing this and caught about 6 -7 more in about 10 minutes. She even said this was the best time she ever had fishing.   Well this you got to see to believe!!!

Special Painting with Love

This painting was done for my soulmate, my lover , my best friend and husband.

I met him 7 years ago on a silly online poker game and knew we were meant to be together for the rest of our lives.  This painting was created in my office in jersey.  I went in on a saturday and set up my video cam and proceeded to paint.  I took small clips of the painting in each step.  I then sent it to my husband via email in serveral emails (i didnt have any other technology then lol ) it was for his birthday!

Please see all my videos on you tube to the right of the blog is a feed if you enjoy them please like!

The Gator in the Glades

My brother in law loves airboating.  He ventures out into the glades almost every weekend.  He goes out for fun and he also hunts gators and frogs.  I don't care to much for either lol but he does take lots of photo's when he is out there and this happened to be one of them.  I decided to make this painting in honor of him.  It was a gift that he now treasures , I think lol

Here is the Original pic by my Brother in Law Gary!
